Description

Starting from Terminal Point 409 in the vibrant Horto district of Rio de Janeiro, we will begin our distinctive hike through the lush greenery of the city.

Covering around 8 kilometers (4.9 miles) at a comfortable rhythm, we'll navigate through various natural challenges as we explore a part of Tijuca National Park, where the area’s unique wildlife and verdant plants will captivate you!

Our trail will bring us to the famous Chuveiro waterfall, also known as the Caja waterfall, recognized for its striking rock formations. Along the way, we'll discover an array of waterfalls before arriving at the tranquil Jequitibá waterfall, each providing an ideal spot for a refreshing dip.

Next, we will visit Vista Chinesa, celebrated as one of Rio de Janeiro's premier viewpoints. Built in the early 1900s, this location features a pagoda influenced by eastern architecture, honoring the Chinese who introduced tea cultivation in Brazil. Here, revel in astonishing panoramic views of the city’s southern terrain and the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon.

After exploring for approximately four and a half hours, our excursion through the enchanting Horto waterfalls will come to a close, bringing us back to where we started.
