Trip Overview

At the scheduled hour, we will collect you from your accommodation in Rio to embark on this remarkable day excursion to Ilha Grande, celebrated for its untouched beaches and vibrant Atlantic Forest.

Our journey will cover approximately 140 km (86 mi) to the area of Conceição de Jacareí. Upon arrival, we will exit the vehicle and take a short walk to the Conceição pier, where we will board the boat for our adventure. Let's set sail!

The inaugural stop on our boat journey around Ilha Grande is the Blue Lagoon, where you will have 50 minutes to relish its crystal-clear and shallow waters. This serene setting provides an excellent opportunity for snorkelling if you choose.

Next, we will visit two of the island's most enchanting locations: Freguesia de Santana beach and Ballena beach. You will have 30 minutes at each beach to dive into the inviting waters and embrace the ocean experience.

Following this invigorating swim, we will proceed to Japariz Beach, where we will disembark and head to a restaurant. Here, you can enjoy a delicious buffet lunch featuring traditional Brazilian cuisine. Enjoy your meal!

After an hour, we will reconvene at the boat for our return journey. Ultimately, we will conclude our adventure at the original meeting point after approximately 10 hours.

Be aware that this activity includes pickup from hotels located in the southern region of Rio de Janeiro and, subject to availability, from the city center. For those staying in Barra da Tijuca, an additional fee of 40 BRL per person will be applicable.
