Tour Overview

The journey commences at the scheduled time at the São Conrado metro station. Depending on the size of the group, we will either board motorcycles or a minibus that will transport us to the summit of Rocinha, recognized as one of the largest neighborhoods in Latin America.

Once at the peak of Rocinha, we will embark on a walk through the narrow pathways among the traditional houses perched on the hillside. As we navigate this vibrant area, we will share insights into the everyday lives of the residents and the neighborhood’s history. It’s fascinating to note that Rocinha was established in the 1950s when rural migrants from northern Brazil moved to Rio de Janeiro in search of better opportunities.

Rocinha is renowned for its vibrant artistic community, hosting numerous groups of urban artists. Our tour includes multiple stops for photography, allowing you to capture both the local ambiance and breathtaking views of the city.

Following our time in Rocinha, we will return to our vehicle and proceed to Vidigal, a neighborhood that harmoniously merges urban life with natural beauty. Ascending to its highest elevation, we will start our descent on foot to delve into its origins and the cultural elements that have shaped Vidigal’s unique character.

Interestingly, this urban locale in Rio has become famous for its boutique hostels, which attract travelers from around the globe. We will pause at the Arvrão Viewpoint, where you can take in the panoramic views of the coastline, beaches, the cityscape, and the striking Morro Dois Irmãos.

At the conclusion of this 4-hour adventure, we will bid farewell at this final vantage point, offering you helpful suggestions for your journey back to your hotel.
