Favela Tour

At the designated meeting time, we will gather at the intersection of Rua Saint Roman, directly across from Rua Sá Ferreira. Once the group is complete, we will commence our journey through the Pavão-Pavãozinho and Cantagalo neighborhoods, commonly referred to as PPG.

From our rendezvous point, you will hop on a motorbike to reach our first destination—the Pedra do Galo viewpoint. This spot provides stunning panoramic views encompassing the Ipanema and Copacabana beaches, the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, and Morro Dois Irmãos.

Next, we will proceed to the Brizolão, originally conceived in the 1960s as a hotel, now transformed into a community hub that houses a Public Education Center.

Following this, we will visit the residence of a local family, where you’ll be welcomed to their terrace for a conversation about community life while taking in the views. Our cultural journey continues at the Fundação, an open venue for various cultural presentations.

We will also make a stop by Campinho do Galo, a sports area adorned with graffiti narrating the neighborhood’s history. To conclude our experience, we will guide you to the Saint Roman food area, adjacent to our meeting point, showcasing a diverse assortment of food stalls.

At this concluding point, we will part ways after two enriching hours of exploration.

Favela Tour + MUF Tour

Opting for this choice means that we will adhere to the same itinerary outlined above, in addition to including a visit to the MUF, the Museum of Favela.
