Tour Overview

Our adventure begins at the Tourist Information Office located at Praça Corumbá. From there, we will proceed to the railway station to travel up to the lively Santa Marta favela, known for its vivid colors and spirit!

Upon arrival, prepare to take in breathtaking vistas of Rio's iconic landmarks, including Sugarloaf Mountain, Christ the Redeemer, and the impressive Morro Dois Irmãos. You will also catch sights of the world-renowned Copacabana and Ipanema beaches.

After soaking in these spectacular views, we will delve into the Santa Marta favela tour, which begins by highlighting notable visitors, including the legendary Michael Jackson, who filmed part of his music video for They Don’t Care About Us amidst the favela's beautifully painted streets.

When booking the Santa Marta favela tour, you can select from the following options. Once your chosen experience concludes, we will head back to the original meeting point.

Tour + Football Match

Inside the favela, there is a local football field frequently used by the community. If you opt for this choice, following the favela exploration, you'll have the opportunity to participate in a 30-minute football match, pitting tourists against local players.

This activity is scheduled for either 2 pm or 4 pm.

Tour + Cultural Lunch

If you prefer this option, upon completing the favela tour, we will enjoy a home-cooked meal in a local family’s residence. The meal will feature a variety of starters, including rice, beans, farofa, and salad. For the main course, options will include grilled chicken, breaded chicken, veal fillet, or an omelette.

This option is available at 10 am.

Weather Policy

Please be informed that if inclement weather occurs on the day of the tour, the football match will be canceled for safety reasons. Should you have booked a tour including the football game, we will arrange an alternative activity for you.
