Sugarloaf Mountain Kayaking Experience

We will convene at Portugal Avenue in Rio de Janeiro at your selected time. Are you prepared to witness Sugarloaf from a novel angle? If so, this kayaking tour is tailored for you!

Our journey begins at Urca Beach, where we will provide you with essential instructions on kayak handling. Following approximately 30 minutes of guidance, we will set off into the water towards the Tamandaré Fort, located at the gateway to Guanabara Bay. This location offers a stunning vista of the historic prison along with the renowned Sugarloaf Mountain.

Did you know this fort once served as a prison for notable figures in Brazilian history? While you paddle through Rio's waters, you will also uncover some fascinating tales related to the area.

As we continue our paddle across Botafogo Bay, we will eventually return to Urca Beach, concluding the kayaking experience after approximately two and a half hours of adventure.

If you opt for the afternoon tour, get ready to witness a captivating sunset over Sugarloaf Mountain! This is truly a breathtaking sight in Rio you won’t want to miss.

We will meet at Boteco Belmonte da Urca, Av. Portugal, 986 - Urca, Rio de Janeiro - RJ, 22291-050, Brazil. We recommend being at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before the tour starts.

Please note

If sea conditions are not favourable, we'll paddle to Botafogo inlet.
We recommend bringing a hat, long-sleeved clothing, a swimming costume, sunglasses and sun cream.
You can leave your belongings, as long as they are not too valuable, at the club's lockers.
