Tour Overview

We will convene at the Parque Passeio Público at the designated time to initiate our off-roading journey through Santa Teresa and the iconic Dona Marta viewpoint. Are you prepared for an exploration of the most artistic and genuine essence of Rio de Janeiro in an off-roading vehicle? Let’s set off!

As we step into the vehicle, we will venture toward Santa Teresa, a historic neighborhood established in the 18th century, where artistry flourishes at every corner. Navigating its cobblestone streets, we will immerse ourselves in the nostalgic atmosphere shaped by splendid 19th-century mansions and the renowned yellow tram.

Our journey will first take us to Largo dos Guimarães, the vibrant nucleus of Santa Teresa, allowing you to take some time to absorb the eclectic charm of its bars and the creativity of local artists.

Continuing our off-roading expedition, we will ascend toward the Mirante das Favelas. Interestingly, the term “favela” originates from a species of tree native to Brazil. At this viewpoint, we will delve into the history behind these communities and the courageous individuals from the War of Canudos. After an enlightening pause to reflect on the social dynamics of Rio’s hillside communities, we will advance further up to an impressive elevation of 400 m (1,312 ft).

The highlight of our tour will be the breathtaking sight from the Dona Marta viewpoint, nestled within the confines of Tijuca National Park. Here, we will be treated to one of the most captivating panoramic vistas of Rio de Janeiro. With both Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain before us, you will discover why this location is a revered spot for witnessing the sunrise. It's time for some memorable photographs!

After a fulfilling journey lasting 2.5 hours, we will return to our initial meeting point, marking the end of our experience.
