Details of the Day Trip

We will convene at the specified hour at viale Giorgio Washington, or if you prefer, we can arrange to collect you from your accommodation in Rome. From there, we will journey south along the picturesque 'Sun Motorway', meandering through the beautiful Italian countryside and passing through the charming region known as Castelli Romani.

Upon reaching Naples, you will board a ferry for a scenic 45-minute ride to Marina Grande, the island’s renowned port. Here, a guided tour awaits, allowing you to explore the island's primary town. We’ll stroll through its vibrant center and visit the Piazzetta while soaking in stunning cliffside views from a vantage point.

Next, prepare to visit the stunning Blue Grotto, heralded as one of nature's most breathtaking sites. This spectacular cavern is said to have been submerged millions of years ago, creating a captivating interplay of light that illuminates its waters in a mesmerizing blue hue.

On our return to Naples, you will have the chance to take in impressive sights such as the magnificent Maschio Angioino, a 12th-century fortress also known as Castel Nuovo, along with the historic Certosa di San Martino monastery complex and the illustrious Royal Palace.

This enriched tour will conclude back in central Rome after approximately 14 hours.

Options for the Tour

During the booking process, you can choose between a tour that includes or excludes pickup, or opt for a self-guided excursion:

Tour without Pickup

For those choosing this option, we will gather at 6:45 am in front of viale Giorgio Washington, at the entrance to the metro line A close to Villa Borghese park.

Tour with Pickup

If you select the tour with pickup, our team will collect you from your hotel in Rome at the arranged time. Please note that this is available for hotels with 24-hour reception. If you are residing in an apartment or a bed and breakfast, you will need to select the tour without pickup and arrive at the designated meeting point by 6:45 am.

Self-Guided Tour

If you prefer a more independent experience in Capri, the self-guided tour includes an English-speaking tour assistant who will provide your round-trip ferry tickets, giving you the freedom to explore Capri at your own leisure. You should also meet your assistant at viale Giorgio Washington. Please keep in mind that this option does not include a visit to the Blue Grotto.

Alterations Due to Weather

In the event of unfavorable weather that prevents a visit to the Blue Grotto, we will substitute the experience with a tour of the remarkable Faraglioni rocks. Should conditions prohibit the boat trip entirely, a land tour of the island will be arranged instead.
