Description

This entry ticket to the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill allows you to immerse yourself in the grandeur of the Roman Empire, aided by an audio guide in English. You won’t overlook any important aspect of the history surrounding these remarkable landmarks in Rome!

Activity Overview

Your journey begins at a convenient meeting point near the Colosseum, where our team will greet you, assist with ticketing, and help you download the audio guide directly to your mobile device.

Following a short orientation about the historical significance of the area, we will escort you directly to the Colosseum entrance. This access allows you to bypass the lengthy queues at the ticket office, swiftly proceeding to the security screening before entering one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Are you prepared to uncover its hidden narratives?

Inside the Flavian Amphitheatre, you will have the freedom to explore its many facets at your leisure while using the audio guide. After your visit to the Colosseum, feel free to continue your exploration independently through the archaeological sites of the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. The most enjoyable aspect? You can discover these three sites at a pace that suits you!

What to Expect During Your Visit

  • The Colosseum: Experience the thrilling times of gladiators and the fierce battles against wild animals that took place in the Flavian Amphitheatre. Understand the complexities of its construction, from the intricate pulley systems to the accommodations for 50,000 spectators, who witnessed the most brutal events in antiquity.
  • The Roman Forum: Meander through the essential political, judicial, and spiritual core of ancient Rome. Amidst the marble ruins, uncover key landmarks such as the Temple of Saturn, the House of the Vestals, and the Arch of Titus, which were pivotal in determining the Empire's fate.
  • The Palatine Hill: Ascend to the most central of Rome’s seven hills, celebrated as the cradle of the legend of Romulus and Remus. Walk amidst the remnants of opulent imperial residences and take in stunning views of the Circus Maximus and the Forum below. A perfect chance for photographs!

You may also remain within the archaeological complex until closing time, allowing for a relaxed exploration of Rome's rich history with total autonomy.

Colosseum Admission Plus Arena Access

When reserving your tickets, you have the option to select an admission ticket that grants access to the Arena. This choice allows you to step onto the level where gladiatorial battles and wild animal hunts unfolded. Stand on the very stage where these captivating yet horrifying spectacles took place.

As you walk on a partial replica of the original wooden floor, you will gain an exclusive viewpoint of the stands and understand the organization of the games from the heart of the amphitheater.

Moreover, with this option, you will enjoy a digital re-creation that narrates the ancient races at the Circus Maximus. This immersive experience enables you to witness the splendor of this vast venue and revisit the excitement of the chariot races that captivated all of Rome, providing insights into the tactics of the charioteers and the broader social and political context of these events.
