Day Trip to Siena, San Gimignano and Chianti

Join us on this excursion through Siena, San Gimignano, and Chianti, where we will explore the splendid landscapes of Tuscany, characterized by its picturesque medieval towns and a delightful visit to a wine cellar.

We will convene in front of the metro station at Tiburtina at the scheduled time, preparing to embark on a journey through Italy's most renowned region.

The charm of Tuscany is recognized globally, famed for its adorable villages and vine-laden hills that extend endlessly into the horizon. Our first destination will be San Gimignano, celebrated for its remarkable medieval buildings and lively squares, including the Piazza del Duomo and Piazza della Cisterna.

After exploring San Gimignano, we'll proceed to a local winery to savor the renowned Chianti wine. Here, we will learn about the art of winemaking and enjoy a tasting experience featuring 15 different wines and oils. A sumptuous lunch will follow, comprising: Tuscan cheese and salami appetizers, bruschetta, and various snacks; a main course choice of truffle lasagna or Tuscan ribollita soup, concluded with dessert options of cantuccini biscuits paired with dessert wine.

Next, we’ll travel to the historic city of Siena, distinguished for its vibrant city center and the iconic Piazza del Campo, where the annual Palio di Siena horse race takes place. As you stroll through, take note of the unique shell shape of the Piazza and admire the stunning Torre de Mangia. Our visit will also include the magnificent Duomo, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site.

With hearts full of the breathtaking sights in Tuscany, we'll journey back to Rome via the scenic Val d'Orcia.

The tour will conclude at the original meeting point approximately 12 hours after our departure.
