Description

Florence, renowned as the "City of Art," is considered one of the most stunning and frequently explored destinations worldwide. This day trip invites you to delve into its historical core and visit the prestigious Uffizi Gallery.

Day Trip to Florence from Rome

Your journey begins as you gather on Via Marsala in Rome at the scheduled departure time. From there, you will board a high-speed train for a swift, safe, and comfortable ride to Florence, accompanied by a friendly assistant who will be with you throughout the experience.

Upon your arrival in Florence, you will have the opportunity to wander through the historic centre. Here, you will encounter Duomo Square, home to the Florence Cathedral, the Giotto Bell Tower, and the Baptistery of St. John, distinguished for its renowned "Gates of Paradise" alongside numerous other significant landmarks.

A leisurely stroll will lead you past the impressive Palazzo Vecchio, the Loggia dei Lanzi, the stunning Neptune Fountain, and the equestrian statue of Cosimo I. Make sure to also admire the famous Ponte Vecchio.

Your excursion includes access to the iconic Uffizi Gallery, one of the most esteemed art museums globally. Here, you can marvel at masterpieces from legendary artists such as Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Titian.

During lunchtime, you will have the chance to dine at a charming local restaurant, where you will discover the distinctive flavors of Florentine cuisine compared to Roman fare.

Before concluding your visit, we recommend taking time to explore Piazza della Repubblica, where you may acquire a souvenir, stroll along the Ponte Vecchio, or visit a leather workshop—one of the city’s most famous crafts.

After your day of exploration, you will return via high-speed train, completing your self-guided adventure after approximately 13 and a half hours.
