Florence Excursion from Rome
Your journey begins by meeting at the designated time on Via Marsala in Rome. From there, you'll board a high-speed train that will take you to Florence swiftly, safely, and comfortably, accompanied by a friendly assistant throughout the day.
Upon arrival in Florence, you'll embark on a self-guided exploration of its historic center. You'll see Duomo Square, home to the Florence Cathedral, the Giotto Bell Tower, and the St. John's Baptistry, known for its exquisite "Gates of Paradise", along with many other iconic sites.
As you wander, make sure to visit the fascinating Palazzo Vecchio, the Logia dei Lanzi, the Neptune Fountain, and the Cosimo I Equestrian Monument. The famous Ponte Vecchio is also a must-see.
Your self-guided tour includes admission to the renowned Uffizi Gallery with skip-the-line access. This museum is one of the most prestigious in the world, featuring masterpieces by artists such as Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Titian.
When lunchtime arrives, you'll have the chance to enjoy a meal at a local restaurant, where you can experience some of the key differences between Florentine and Roman cuisine.
Before heading back, we recommend visiting the Piazza della Repubblica, where you can buy a souvenir, stroll along the Ponte Vecchio, or check out a leather workshop, highlighting one of the city’s most famous crafts.
After this enriching experience, you'll return to the train for your journey back, concluding a memorable 13 and a half hours of exploration.
