Itinerary
Upon entering the Basilica, guests can collect their audio guide at the desk situated to the right of the main staircase, where they will need to present their reservation to the staff. As a temporary measure, visitors must leave an identification document, which will be returned at the conclusion of the visit.
This self-guided audio tour lasts approximately one hour, allowing guests to discover one of the most significant sites in Christianity at their own pace. During the tour, they will learn about the Basilica's history, its stunning Renaissance architecture, and the artistic masterpieces housed within, including works by renowned masters such as Michelangelo, who played a pivotal role in designing the iconic dome.
The audio guide is accessible in various languages—such as Italian, English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, and Chinese—ensuring that each visitor can navigate the informative path clearly and engagingly.

Important information
On the day of the activity, you'll need to head to the office of Omnia, located at Piazza Pio XII, n.º 9, to redeem your booking confirmation for the official ticket and QR code. Without this step, the Vatican staff will not allow you to enter.
Tour Schedule
You can visit the basilica on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 9 am to 4 pm. On Wednesdays, you can enter between 1 pm and 4 pm.
Audio Guide
You can pick up the audio guide at the audio guide ticket booth, which is on the right of the main staircase of the basilica. You'll need to leave an original ID as a deposit (ID or passport), which will be given to you after the visit.
Dress Code
You must cover your shoulders and knees. Access with shorts, short skirts, or sleeveless shirts is not allowed.
