Food Tour Details

To start this walking tour, we'll meet in Piazza Trilussa at the designated time, ready to experience the diversity of Roman cuisine. We will first head to Piazza di Santa Maria, where you’ll visit a genuine pizzeria and order a takeaway homemade pizza. Rome's pizza is known for being crunchier compared to Naples'.

This leads us to discuss Queen Margherita of Savoy, who popularized the pizza bearing her name in the 19th century. After enjoying your pizza, the tour continues to a supplì food stand to try rice balls with cheese and tomato, a typical Roman dish unavailable in other parts of Italy. Next, we will visit a popular ice-cream parlor in Trastevere to taste a delicious gelato.

Following this, we will head near Piazza di Santa Maria to enjoy a glass of Italian wine in a typical tavern, accompanied by a table of cheeses and prosciutto, providing a fitting conclusion to the tour.

The tour will start at the indicated time in Piazza Trilussa, next to the kiosk. Here the guide will be waiting for you holding a Civitatis sign. Please be at the meeting point at least 10 minutes before the scheduled time.

Please be aware that, due to organisation reasons, if you are over 15 minutes late you'll miss the tour.
