Embark on a comprehensive exploration of Rovaniemi, the vibrant capital of Finnish Lapland. This tour takes you to essential landmarks such as the Arktikum Museum and the opportunity to meet Santa Claus, as we traverse the Arctic Circle and experience much more along the way.
Tour Overview
We will gather at Maakuntakatu 29-31 in Rovaniemi at the scheduled time to commence this memorable journey.
Our first destination is Santa's Arctic Wildlife Park, a serene refuge where you can encounter some of Santa's beloved Arctic creatures, including the iconic reindeer.
Next, we will visit the enchanting Santa Claus Village, where you will have the chance to meet Santa Claus himself. During this segment, we will also cross the Arctic Circle line and you will receive an official certificate as proof. Enjoy leisure time to explore local craft shops and, if you wish, send a letter from the Official Santa Post Office adorned with a unique elves’ stamp. Ho, ho, ho!
At lunch, we will take a break to savor a delightful buffet lunch to recharge our energies. Following our meal, we will reconnect with nature at Ounasvaara Hill, the highest point in Rovaniemi, offering breathtaking panoramic vistas of the surrounding boreal forests and rivers.
Our adventure concludes with a visit to the esteemed Arktikum Science Centre and Museum, where we will delve into the local history from the Ice Age to the vibrant culture of the indigenous Sami people. Engage with interactive displays showcasing the intriguing northern lights.
We will then return to our original meeting point in Rovaniemi to wrap up our day together.
Service Closures
Be advised that the Arktikum Museum is closed on Mondays, except during December. In such instances, the day's itinerary will remain unchanged, excluding the museum visit.
