2-Day Tour Details
Day 1: Samarkand– Bukhara
We will start your day with a pickup from your hotel in Samarkand and proceed to the Afrosiyob high-speed train station. You will board a train to Bukhara, a key city along the Silk Road.
Upon arrival in Bukhara, you will check into your hotel to drop off your luggage and enjoy some lunch. Afterward, we will embark on a walking tour to the historic center of the city. The first stop will be the Lyab-i Khauz ensemble, an exquisite architectural complex encircling a lake, where the Kukeldash Madrasa, the largest in Bukhara, is prominently featured.
In this area, you will also see two religious buildings constructed by Nodir Devonbegi: a kh?naq?h and another madrasa. The kh?naq?h served as a meeting place for Sufi brotherhoods known as tariqas, while the madrasas function as educational institutions for Muslim students, akin to universities or colleges.
Next, we will visit the Maghoki Attori Mosque, now serving as a carpet museum, and the Chor Minor, also referred to as the Madrasah of Khalif Niyaz-kul. Our exploration will continue in the commercial domes, where only four of these structures remain today. We will admire the madrasas of Ulugh Beg and Abdulaziz-Khan, the Miri-Arab Madrasah, along with the iconic Kalyan Minaret and the Kalan Mosque.
To conclude the day's tour, we will visit the magnificent Ark of Bukhara fortress and the beautiful Bolo Haouz Mosque.
After the day's activities, you will have free time to explore further and enjoy dinner at your leisure.
Day 2: Bukhara – Samarkand
After breakfast at the hotel, we will continue our exploration of Bukhara. You will visit the Samanid Mausoleum, the Bakhouddin Naqshband Mausoleum, and the Chor-Bakr memorial complex. Following this, we'll tour the Sitorai Mokhi-Khosa, the summer residence of the last emir of Bukhara.
Before heading to the train station, you'll have the opportunity to grab some lunch at a local restaurant.
In the early afternoon, we will return you to the Bukhara train station for your journey back to Samarkand via the Afrosiyon high-speed train . We expect to have you back at your hotel around 6 pm, bringing your 2-day tour to a close. Until next time!
