Kyzylkum Desert 2-Day Expedition

Day 1: Departure from Samarkand to Nurota and Kyzylkum

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel at the designated time, followed by a minibus ride towards the Kyzylkum desert. During this four-hour trip, we will share insights into the unique features of this desert, known in Uzbek as "red sand."

Our first destination is Nurota, where we will explore the renowned Chashma complex, an ancient fortress remnants from the 4th century BC, recognized as one of Uzbekistan's significant archaeological landmarks. The itinerary continues to include a visit to the historic Juma Mosque, the ancient Panjvaqta Mosque, and the traditional Arabian baths. We'll also savor a delightful traditional lunch in Nurota.

As the sun begins to set, we will reach the yurt camp in Kyzylkum for our overnight stay. You will have free time in the late afternoon to take a dip in Aidar Lake. In the evening, indulge in a traditional dinner, witness a captivating folk performance, and learn more about life in the desert.

Day 2: Kyzylkum to Bukhara and Return to Samarkand

Awaken to the memorable experience of desert living. Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the yurt camp as dawn’s first light casts a gentle red hue over the Kyzylkum sands.

Next, we will head back to Samarkand, with a stop in Bukhara where you can enjoy lunch at your own pace. During the reservation process, you can specify whether you would like to conclude your private tour in Bukhara or return to Samarkand. If you prefer the latter, we will ensure you are back at your hotel in Samarkand by 5 pm.
