Day Trip Overview
Your adventure commences with a pickup from your accommodation in Samarkand. Prepare for slightly more than an hour's drive to the Tajikistan border. Are you ready for what lies ahead?
After a swift passport control procedure, we'll make our way to the vibrant city of Penjikent. Dive into the lively atmosphere of its mosque and bustling bazaar, followed by some leisure time for you to enjoy a meal.
Our next destination is the Seven Lakes of the Fann Mountains, situated at a height of 2,400 m (7,874 ft). Each lake boasts a unique spectrum of colors, from vibrant emeralds to striking turquoise, all surrounded by majestic white peaks.
We'll travel approximately 15 km (9.3 mi) via vehicle along winding pine-fringed paths, bringing us to the Nezhigon, Soya, Gushor, Nofin, Khurdak, Marguzor, and Hazorchashma lakes. At each stop, there will be opportunities to capture the stunning clarity of the waters and immerse yourself in the soothing sounds of nature.
At Hazorchashma, the final lake, you will have 1.5 hours of leisure time to savor lunch while gazing at the magnificent Fann Mountains. This is also an ideal moment to explore hiking trails or even dip into the refreshing lake waters. Are you daring enough?
As we conclude the day, we'll return to Penjikent for a brief 10-minute visit to its souvenir shops before making our way back to Samarkand.
Your journey will conclude upon arrival at your hotel in Samarkand, marking the end of a memorable 12-hour experience.
