Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at San Cristobal Airport - Cerro Tijeretas - La Lobería Beach

Welcome to San Cristobal Island! Your adventure begins as we greet you at the airport and transport you to your accommodation in Baquerizo Moreno Port, where you can unwind and prepare for the days ahead.

Our initial destination is Cerro Tijeretas, situated close to Baquerizo Moreno Port. Upon arrival at this stunning natural viewpoint, watch for local fragatas birds welcoming us. You'll learn how to identify and distinguish these fascinating birds!

After a lunch break, we will proceed to the magnificent La Lobería Beach. True to its name, this beach is teeming with sea lions. Here, we will also encounter bird species such as the Maria Canary and various kinds of finches, along with marine iguanas.

At the end of the day, we will return you to your lodging in Baquerizo Moreno Port.

Day 2: San Cristobal Interpretation Centre - Playa Mann

Following a hearty breakfast, we will visit the Interpretation Centre in San Cristobal. This location offers insights into the islands' history, their ecological significance, and the human influences affecting them. In the Natural History room, you'll explore the volcanic origins of the archipelago, while in the Human History room, we will discuss the colonization of the Galapagos Islands. Afterward, we will take a moment to enjoy lunch.

Next, we will journey to Mann Beach, known for its crystal-clear waters and broken shells—an ideal spot for snorkeling. Experience a breathtaking sunset before we take you back to Baquerizo Moreno Port.

Day 3: El Junco Lake - Galapaguera - Puerto Chino

After breakfast, we will head to El Junco Lake, nestled within an extinct volcano. Here, you can embark on a scenic hike around this natural oasis, surrounded by juncos and endemic miconias. It truly feels like a slice of paradise!

Once the hike concludes, we will visit the Galapaguera del Cerro Colorado, dedicated to the conservation of land tortoises. You will gain a deeper understanding of these giant reptiles native to the Galapagos and observe various birds and unique plant life.

Your day will wrap up at a serene white sandy beach in Puerto Chino, where you can swim in the turquoise sea, surrounded by lava rocks and mangroves. This beach is a safe haven for sea lions, turtles, and birds.

After a full day of exploration, we will return to Baquerizo Moreno Port.

Day 4: Departure from San Cristobal Airport

After breakfast, we’ll take you to San Cristobal Airport in time for your flight home. Until next time!

5-day Tour

If you wish to extend your stay in San Cristobal Island, the 5-day itinerary is available:

The first two days will follow the same schedule as the 4-day tour.

On day 3, we will explore León Dormido (Kicker Rock), an impressive rocky formation in the ocean. Do you know the story behind its name? Here, you will spot numerous bird species residing on the rock. Additionally, you will have the chance to swim in the Kicker Rock canal. Remember to bring your snorkel gear!

Next, we’ll travel to Cerro Brujo, located to the north of the island, known for its stunning sandy beach. It rests on an eroded volcanic cone and its silhouette resembles a witch’s hat. From the beach, enjoy breathtaking views of León Dormido and the island’s elevated terrain.

Day four of this itinerary mirrors day three of the 4-day version. On the final day, we will assist you with your airport transfer.

Accommodation

This tour includes 3 or 4 nights of accommodation in Baquerizo Moreno Port. During booking, you can select from the following options:

• 2-star hotel accommodation: Hotel Blue Marlin or similar

• 3-star hotel accommodation: Casa Playa Mann or similar

Please note that the prices quoted are per person based on double occupancy.

Return Flight

This adventure spans 4 to 5 days. For instance, if you opt for the 4-day itinerary starting on a Monday, your return flight will be scheduled for Thursday of that week. Similarly, should you choose the 5-day tour beginning on a Monday, plan your return flight for Friday.
