5-Day Galapagos Journey

Day 1: Arrival at San Cristobal - Tijeretas Hill - La Loberia Beach

Upon landing at San Cristobal Airport, our dedicated team will greet you and escort you into the captivating realm of the Galapagos Islands. Over the next few days, you'll be based in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, setting the stage for your exploration.

We will kick off our itinerary at the spectacular Tijeretas Hill, a natural sanctuary teeming with frigatebirds and various other avian species. Our experienced guides will share fascinating information about the local birdlife as we soak in the stunning views from this elevated vantage point.

After enjoying a delightful lunch, we will make our way to La Loberia Beach, a serene location with coral sand that is home to a lively population of sea lions. Here, you can engage with the unique wildlife of the Galapagos, including marine iguanas, yellow warblers, finches, and other endemic species. As day turns to night, we head back to our hotel in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno.

Day 2: San Cristobal Interpretation Center - Mann Beach

Following a fulfilling breakfast, our journey continues at the San Cristobal Interpretation Center, where you'll delve into the history of the Galapagos Islands. Discover both the remarkable natural history and the narratives of human impact through engaging displays.

After enjoying lunch in a local restaurant, we will spend our afternoon soaking up the sun at Mann Beach. This idyllic spot, created from broken shells, is ideal for snorkeling and diving. As the afternoon fades, savor the beauty of a stunning sunset.

Our day ends as we return to your accommodations in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno.

Day 3: Diving at Tijeretas - Karahua - Coral Caves or Bay Cave

After breakfast, we will embark on our diving adventure, taking a short boat ride to Tijeretas, just 15 minutes away.

Dive depths here range from 5 to 35 meters (16 to 115 feet). With no buoys in sight, we will use the coastline as our navigational guide. The seafloor features rocky formations down to 18 meters, transitioning to sandy beds where you might spot eels and batfish. Look out for sea turtles, marbled rays, sea lions, octopuses, and moray eels during your dive.

Next, we will dive at Karahua, a shipwreck from 1916 positioned around 15 minutes from Tijeretas. This historic vessel, approximately 100 meters (328 feet) long, once transported provisions to the islands. Remnants of the ship, like the anchor and engine, remain visible despite the ravages of time.

Our subsequent dive will explore either the Coral Cave or the Bay Cave, chosen based on current weather conditions. Each dive presents unique marine structures, where you could encounter turtles, rays, octopuses, moray eels, and vibrant fish. With some luck, a glimpse of the Galapagos sleeper might await you!

In the evening, we'll return to our hotel in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno.

Day 4: El Junco Lagoon - Galapaguera - Puerto Chino

Following breakfast, we will set out for El Junco Lagoon, nestled within the confines of an extinct volcano. Prepare for a scenic hike through this lush reserve, abundant with unique reeds and miconias that define the Galapagos.

After our hike, we will visit the Cerro Colorado Galapaguera, a habitat for numerous land tortoises, to gain insight into the region's diverse reptilian species while admiring the local birdlife and flora.

As the day concludes, unwind on the tranquil sands of Puerto Chino, where lava rocks meet mangrove forests. Here, you may encounter sea lions and the occasional turtle, surrounded by a stunning collection of birds.

We will then bring you back to the hotel in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno for your evening rest.

Day 5: Departure from San Cristobal Airport

After breakfast, you will have some leisure time before we assist you with your transfer back to San Cristobal Airport, ensuring you arrive in time for your departure.
