Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in central San Martin de los Andes at 7:30 am. We will travel along the National Route 234, taking a scenic route past the quaint village of Junín de los Andes. After about 40 minutes of travel, we will navigate through an araucaria forest alongside the Malleo River, reaching the border crossing at Paso Tromen. Here, you will be treated to breathtaking views of the north face of Lanín Volcano as we enter the Chilean wilderness and visit the Curarrehue village, where the Mapuche community resides.
Our journey continues with a 70-km (43-mile) drive alongside the Trancura River, leading us to our final stop, Pucon, a city nestled where lush jungle landscapes meet serene lakes. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by the picturesque Lake Villarrica and the majestic Villarrica Volcano.
You will have two hours of leisure time to wander the charming beaches of Pucon and indulge in the local cuisine at traditional eateries, where you can savor delightful seafood dishes. Don’t miss the opportunity to take a refreshing swim in the warm waters of Pucon or to explore the captivating Villarrica Lake.
