Tafí del Valle and Quilmes Archaeological Tour

Commencing with your hotel pickup, our adventure takes us to the Tafí del Valle alongside the Quilmes archaeological site. The excursion also includes a visit to a local family winery, where you will have the chance to sample fine Argentinian wines.

As we traverse the path along the Quebrada de Los Sosa river, we will reach El Mollar. Here, more than 50 remarkable megalithic sculptures await, still shrouded in mystery, offering insights into various fascinating theories regarding their creation and significance.

Next, we head towards Tafí del Valle, a charming town where you will have some leisure time to discover the surroundings. We encourage you to take in the breathtaking natural backdrop shaped by towering mountains, ideal for stunning photographs.

Continuing our journey, we will arrive at El Infiernillo, the gateway to the Calchaquí Valley, a place of remarkable natural wonders.

Following this, we will visit the Sacred City of Quilmes, a significant location where we meet the Quilmes indigenous community. In this area, we will explore one of Argentina's largest pre-Columbian sites: the Quilmes Ruins. During our exploration, we will delve into the history of the Quilmes people, discovering their customs, traditions, and enduring legacy.

After our visit to the Quilmes ruins, we will proceed to Amaicha del Valle, where you will have an opportunity to enjoy a meal.

For those interested in more, after lunch we will engage with the Amaicha del Valle community to visit a local indigenous winery. Here, you will meet Veronica, a family member who will share insights into the wine production and bottling process, along with the artisanal secrets behind this cherished drink. You'll also have the pleasure of tasting a glass!

After approximately 11.5 hours of exploration and activities, we will return to your hotel and conclude our journey.
