After being collected from your accommodation in Puerto Ayora, your adventure will take you to the serene highlands of Santa Cruz Island. Encircled by lush greenery, you will hop on your mountain bike and embark on a journey to uncover the remarkable biodiversity of the Galapagos.
As you navigate the mountain paths, you will immerse yourself in the Cerro Mesa Ecological Reserve, admiring the vibrant flora and fauna while cycling through this stunning environment. Positioned over 1200 feet (390 meters) above sea level, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Galapagos archipelago.
Once you've savored the thrill of mountain biking, you'll transition back into the vehicle and head towards Garrapatero Beach, renowned for its extensive unspoiled sandy shores. Upon arrival, take the opportunity to relax and indulge in a delightful picnic lunch. Imagine enjoying grilled fish complemented by a stunning sea panorama.
Post-lunch, the afternoon is yours to explore Garrapatero Beach at your own pace. Encounter the local wildlife, engage in various water sports, or simply soak up the sun on the beach! A nearby lagoon offers an excellent chance to observe flamingos and ducks in their natural surroundings.
After a day immersed in the natural wonders of the Galapagos Islands, you'll return to Puerto Ayora, where you'll be dropped off at your hotel.

- This mountain biking experience is designed to be accessible for most individuals, irrespective of their fitness level. If you prefer to travel the entire route by vehicle, simply inform your guide on the day of the tour.
- Cerro Mesa experiences occasional light rainfall throughout the year.
Pickup Details
The tour offers pickup and drop-off services at around 7:45 am from select hotels in Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz Island, including: Flamingo, Red Booby, Mainao, Galapagos Suites, Fernandina, Villa Laguna, Isla Sol, SolyMar, Angermeyer, and Royal Palm. We will reach out to confirm your exact pickup time.
If your accommodation is not listed, please proceed to the meeting point at Hotel Maidith White Cove (Cucuve S/N and Floreana) by 8 am.
