Embark on a journey to discover one of the finest beaches on Santa Cruz Island with our El Garrapatero Day Trip. You will encounter golden sands, tranquil waters, and a wealth of biodiversity on this remarkable excursion.

Day Trip Overview

At the scheduled time, our team will collect you from your hotel in Puerto Ayora and set off towards one of the most stunning islands of the Galapagos. Welcome to El Garrapatero!

Following a scenic 40-minute drive, we will arrive at our beautiful destination. Prepare for a guided hike along natural pathways, where you will discover endemic species native to the Galapagos ecosystem, including coastal birds, lizards, and, on occasion, giant tortoises.

After the hike, you will have some leisure time to bask on the 2 miles (3 km) of gorgeous golden beach, an ideal spot for sunbathing and unwinding while listening to the gentle waves. Once you’ve soaked in the beauty of this paradise, we will head back to Puerto Ayora, making a stop for lunch before returning you to your hotel.

Ultimately, we will bring you back to the starting point and bid farewell after an enriching total of 5 hours.
