Tour Details

Day 1: Arrival at Baltra, Transition to Santa Cruz and Isabela

Upon your arrival at Isla Baltra Airport, a representative will be ready to commence your 7-day journey across the Galápagos Islands. First, we'll board a ferry to Santa Cruz, where you'll enjoy a tranquil one-hour ride.

Continuing from Santa Cruz, we’ll catch another ferry to Isabela Island, a trip taking approximately 2.5 hours. As we traverse these waters, take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. In the afternoon, once we reach Isabela, we will check into our hotel, allowing you the remainder of the day for leisure activities, exploring the island or simply relaxing.

For dinner, indulge in the local culinary offerings at nearby restaurants, where fresh seafood and traditional Ecuadorian dishes, such as ceviche and camarones al ajillo (garlic prawns), await.

Day 2: Discovering Isabela - Las Tintoreras Islet

After a hearty breakfast, our exploration begins in the wetlands of Isabela Island. This area, where land meets ocean, is recognized for its rich ecological diversity.

We'll embark on a guided tour to observe four different types of wetlands, spotting majestic flamingos and a variety of native wildlife. You'll be captivated by the Galápagos flamingos, whose distinctive pink hue is attributed to their diet. Additionally, we’ll wander through trails laden with impressive lava formations, reflecting the island’s geological history.

Later in the day, we’ll sail from Puerto Villamil dock to Las Tintoreras Islet, a short ten-minute ride. Here, you'll encounter blue sharks resting in the lava crevices alongside marine iguanas and other intriguing species.

As the day concludes, we’ll return to our hotel in Isabela, where you can unwind. We can also suggest excellent dining options for your evening meal!

Day 3: Journey Back to Santa Cruz

Following breakfast, we'll board the ferry back to Santa Cruz, embarking on another 2.5-hour journey. Upon arrival, we’ll check into our hotel, then head to the esteemed Charles Darwin Research Station. Here, explore the vital conservation initiatives aimed at protecting the islands’ species.

You’ll have the opportunity to observe giant tortoises, iguanas, and other local fauna while walking the station’s trails. We will also visit the Van Straelen Interpretation Center, expanding your knowledge about Galápagos sharks, mangrove ecosystems, and ocean currents.

Your evening will be spent at our hotel in Santa Cruz, with dinner options available either on-site or in local restaurants.

Day 4: Exploring Santa Cruz

Post-breakfast, we will prepare for a visit to the stunning Tortuga Bay. A 45-minute walk will lead us to a beautiful white sand beach, revered as a sanctuary for iguanas and turtles. Here, you may take a dip in the natural pools of Mansa Beach.

In the afternoon, we’ll journey to the Santa Cruz highlands, visiting a ranch to observe giant tortoises in their natural environment. We'll also explore remarkable lava tunnels before reaching the Cráteres Gemelos (Twin Craters), which are striking volcanic formations encircled by lush endemic plants.

As the afternoon wraps up, we will make our way back to the hotel in Santa Cruz for some rest.

Day 5: Transition to San Cristóbal

In the early morning, after a nourishing breakfast, we’ll board a ferry to San Cristóbal Island. Upon arrival, we’ll accommodate ourselves at the hotel before heading to La Lobería, a lovely coral sand beach. Here, watch sea lions lounging on the rocks and keep your eyes peeled for Galápagos Canaries, Frigatebirds, and sizable marine iguanas. This experience promises to be unforgettable!

In the evening, enjoy dinner at a restaurant of your choice, whether at the hotel or nearby.

Day 6: Immersive Experience in San Cristóbal

After breakfast, we’ll head to the San Cristóbal Interpretation Centre. You will step into the history of the islands, learning about their volcanic beginnings and the significant events surrounding their exploration and settlement.

Next, we’ll ascend to Cerro Tijeras, a perfect spot for birdwatching and capturing spectacular views. Before returning to our accommodation in San Cristóbal, we will relax at Mann Beach, where you'll find companions in the form of sea lions and iguanas.

Your evening can be spent dining either at the hotel or at a nearby local establishment.

Day 7: Departure from San Cristóbal

After breakfast, enjoy your free time before we arrange your transport to the San Cristóbal Airport, ensuring ample time for your departure. Here, we will bid you farewell after an enriching week in the Galápagos Islands.

Tour Accommodation

This tour includes 6 nights of accommodation with breakfast in the following 3-star hotels featuring swimming pools:

• Isabela (2 nights): Hotel San Vicente or similar
• Santa Cruz (2 nights): Hotel España or similar
• San Cristóbal (1 night): Hotel Blue Marlin or similar

Children aged 2 to 10 will receive a discount off the adult fare, provided they share a room with a parent or guardian. Only one child per double room is allowed. Children under 2 can travel free of charge, sharing beds with adults, although they will not have a designated transport seat throughout the tour.

Tour Schedules

The ferry from Santa Cruz to Isabela operates at 7 am and 3 pm. Please account for around 1.5 hours to transfer from the airport to the ferry terminal, and ensure you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to departure. Your flight to the Galápagos should land in Baltra before 1 pm to catch the 3 pm ferry.

On the final day, we will transport you to San Cristóbal airport, with a scheduled pickup at the hotel taking place three hours before your flight time.
