Day Trip to Picos de Europa
Once we collect you at your selected meeting point, our expedition through Cantabria will commence. As we travel, we'll navigate through picturesque rivers, lush forests, and quaint villages nestled near the La Hermida Gorge.
Our journey will first take us to the Monastery of Santo Toribio de Liébana. This site is revered as one of the four Holy Places in Christianity, housing the Lignum Crucis, the largest extant relic from the Cross of Jesus Christ. After immersing ourselves in the monastery's rich history, we'll proceed to the San Miguel Hermitage viewpoint for breathtaking vistas of the Picos de Europa.
Next, we will continue to Fuente Dé. Here, you will enjoy 1.5 hours of leisure time, perfect for taking a ride on the renowned Picos de Europa cable car or engaging in horse riding amidst the stunning natural surroundings.
Our following destination will be Potes, the principal town of the Liébana region, often cited as one of the most picturesque villages in Spain. You'll be captivated by the Infantado Tower, along with its lovely bridges and narrow cobblestone streets.
In Potes, you’ll have approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes to savor your lunch, after which we’ll enjoy a brief guided walk through the village before returning to the various meeting points. We anticipate arriving back between 6 and 6:30 pm.
Pickup Information
Your day trip includes pickup at set times from the following locations in Cantabria:
- Santander: Pickup is scheduled at 9 am from your hotel.
- Torrelavega: We will collect you at 9:30 am from the bus stop situated in front of the Pabellón Municipal La Habana Vieja.
Horse Riding in the Picos de Europa
Please note that horse riding in the Picos de Europa is offered exclusively from June 15 to September 29.

- Entry to the Fuente Dé cable car: 31EUR for adults and 13EUR for children (during Easter week, national holidays, and bank holidays) and 21EUR for adults and 7EUR for children (the rest of the year)
- Horse riding activity: 35EUR for 1 hour and 45EUR for 1.5 hours per person (available in the summer only)

Accessible only for folding chairs. This must be indicated in the reservation.
Important information
This day trip includes pickup at the times and places shown below:
- From Santander: we'll pick you up at 9 am from your hotel (we'll call you the day before to confirm pickup).
- From Torrelavega: we'll pick you up at 9:30 am from the bus stop located in front of the Pabellón Municipal La Habana Vieja.
You'll need to be ready at your chosen meeting point 10 minutes early. Please be punctual.
If you'd like to go on a horse ride or go on the Fuente Dé cable car, you'll need to pay for these activities in cash on the day.
