Details of the Day Trip

We will start by collecting you at the designated meeting point in Santander or Torrelavega, leading us to our first destination, the charming town of Cabezón de la Sal.

While in Cabezón de la Sal, you will encounter the renowned Secuoya Forest of Cantabria, recognized as a Natural Monument since 2003. This forest is known for being the largest of its kind in Spain, featuring towering trees reaching heights of up to 131 ft (40 m) and diameters of 6.56 ft (2 m). The sight of these magnificent trees is truly awe-inspiring!

Next on our itinerary is a visit to San Vicente de la Barquera, famed for its stunning vistas of the Cantabrian coast, framed by the majestic Picos de Europa.

San Vicente houses numerous structures recognized as a Bien de Interés Cultural (Asset of Cultural Interest). Among them, you can explore the interior of the Gothic-style Iglesia de Santa María de los Ángeles and the historic Castillo del Rey. Be sure to capture the scenic views of the bay and the estuary of San Vicente. Snap a picture!

Your visit concludes with some leisure time for souvenir shopping, before we return to our original meeting point 4.5 hours after departure.

• Day Trip from Santander: By selecting this option, you'll have free time to explore both the Secuoya Forest and San Vicente de la Barquera at your own pace, but please note that this does not include entry tickets.
