Bahía de las Aguilas: 2-Day Trip

Are you ready to explore the Dominican Caribbean? Join us on an immersive 2-day journey to Bahía de las Águilas, where you will encounter one of the globe's most breathtaking beaches, renowned for its crystal-clear waters that will surely captivate you!

Trip Overview

Day 1

Your adventure begins at your designated pickup location, where we will travel by road to Balneario La Virgen, famous for its stunningly clear waters.

Next, we will visit Balneario Los Pocitos, situated next to a picturesque beach, before continuing on to Playa de los Patos. This beach is regarded as one of the most beautiful on the southern shoreline of the Dominican Republic. On our route, we will pass Parque Eólico Los Cocos, where there will be chances to photograph the magnificent wind turbines.

A local eatery will serve as our stop for a traditional lunch, after which we'll explore Arroyo Salado, a natural pool enveloped by lush mangroves. After soaking up the surrounding beauty, we will proceed to Bahía de las Águilas, adjacent to the border with Haiti.

The first day concludes in the charming town of Pedernales, where we'll check into our lodging. After settling in, dinner will be enjoyed at a local restaurant, followed by a taste of the vibrant Caribbean nightlife.

Day 2

After enjoying breakfast in Pedernales, our first excursion will be to the renowned Cueva de los Pescadores. We will then board a speedboat for an exhilarating ride to Bahía de las Águilas, recognized as one of the cleanest beaches worldwide.

You will have 4 hours of leisure time to unwind and relish a traditional lunch featuring Dominican sancocho.

Our next destination is Balneario Los Pozos de Romeo, an exquisite freshwater cenote, followed by a visit to Balneario San Rafael, where the fresh and salt waters converge. Feel free to take a refreshing swim before we embark on the return journey to our pickup points.

Pickup Locations

The trip includes pickups from the following locations:

• Santo Domingo: pickup at 4:45 am on Avenida San Martín 145.
• Pedernales: pickup at 12 pm outside Hotel Mi Frontera.

Accommodation Options

When making your reservation, you can select from the following overnight accommodation choices:

• Glamping Pedernales: shared amenities featuring 2 bathrooms (one designated for women and another for men), equipped with a toilet and sink. Mixed shower facilities are available throughout the campsite.
• Hostel: options include Don Oleo Méndez and Doña Chava or similar establishments, offering private bathrooms.
