At the agreed time, our adventure begins at Arturo Bautista Pellerano Castro Square, commonly referred to as Parque Rosa. Here, we will embark on a walking exploration of the Colonial City of Santo Domingo. Are you prepared to savor the traditional tastes of the Dominican capital?

We'll kick off our journey at a local eatery, where we'll delve into Dominican gastronomy. This is the perfect opportunity to learn about the daily operations of their kitchens, the staple ingredients used, and the diverse variety of seasonal dishes that grace Dominican tables.

Following this, we’ll proceed to a nearby shop featuring candies, beverages, and produce from various areas of the Dominican Republic. Here, we’ll sample an array of these treats while discovering their ingredients and the traditional practices from different regions of the country.

Meanwhile, our walking tour will take us to the city's most emblematic locations, such as the Panteón de la Patria and the Catedral Primada de América, offering insights into the traditional cuisine from Santo Domingo. For instance, are you aware of quipe? This delectable pastry of Lebanese heritage found its way to the island with immigrants who settled in southern Dominican Republic.

Additionally, we will indulge in some seasonal fruits and other confections. As part of our exploration, we’ll venture into Santo Domingo's Chinatown, where we'll be able to savor its renowned culinary specialties—how about trying a delightful Chinese steamed bun?

Of course, we cannot miss a visit to the Mercado Modelo, the city's largest market, along with sights such as the Museo Casa de Tostado, the Parque de la Independencia, and Little Haiti. To wrap up our journey, we’ll make a stop on Isabel La Católica Street to enjoy a refreshing Dominican beer. Cheers to that!

Tour Choices

During the reservation process, you can select from the following tour options:

• Tour starting from Santo Domingo: this option does not include hotel pickup. You will need to meet the guide at Parque Rosa at the designated time.
• Tour starting from Boca Chica or Juan Dolio: for these locations, we will pick you up at your hotel at the scheduled time, and after the tour, we will return you to your accommodation.
