Complimentary Walking Tour of Ciudad Colonial
We will commence our complimentary walking tour of Santo Domingo's Ciudad Colonial, also referred to as the "Colonial City," after gathering at the Museum of the Royal Houses at the designated time.
The initial highlight of our guided exploration will be the remnants of the Monastery of San Francisco, where we will delve into the rich history of this site, recognized as the oldest monastery in the Americas.
Our journey will continue to the ruins of the San Nicolás de Bari Hospital. Established in the early 16th century, this historic location is acknowledged by UNESCO as the oldest hospital in the Americas.
Further along, we will pause to appreciate the façade of the Church and Convent of the Dominican Order and marvel at the architectural beauty of the Cathedral of Santa María la Menor, showcasing a splendid blend of Gothic, Mudejar, Renaissance, and Plateresque styles.
After passing the Palacio Consistorial, we will arrive at the vibrant city square known as Parque Colón, marking the conclusion of our one-hour complimentary walking tour of the Ciudad Colonial.

Important information
Please meet your guide 10 minutes before the scheduled start time at the Museum of the Royal Houses (C. Las Damas, Santo Domingo 10210, Dominican Republic, next to the sundial). Your guide will have a dark blue umbrella with the Kayoe Excursiones logo and they'll be wearing a white t-shirt.
