At this dedicated chocolate center located in the vibrant Zona Colonial of Santo Domingo, participants can select from various workshops tailored to individual interests. All sessions commence on the historic Calle Las Damas at your chosen time.

Chocolate Workshop (20 minutes)

During this session, we will delve into the chocolate industry and explore its significant role in the Dominican Republic. As we navigate through the factory, we will uncover the journey of cocoa beans, from cultivation to their transformation into chocolate.

Participants will have the chance to see the various machines utilized in chocolate production and will apply their newfound knowledge by crafting their personal chocolate bar, a delightful keepsake from this memorable experience!

Chocolate Workshop + Documentary & Cacao Farm (30 minutes)

Opting for this workshop includes a documentary featuring insights from chocolate connoisseurs about the remarkable attributes of this treat. We'll explore the history of cacao from its origins in North America to its global distribution.

Subsequently, we will tour a cacao plantation to gain insights into the distinct components of typical Dominican cacao farms, including a look at the drying and fermentation areas.

In the Sensory Room, we'll engage in a five-sense chocolate tasting, focusing on the various cocoa percentages present in each sample. To wrap up this enriching experience, participants will create their own chocolate bars, utilizing all the techniques learned throughout the visit.

Chocolate Workshop + Cook with the Chef (2 hours)

After learning about chocolate's history and its significance in the Dominican Republic, we will explore the numerous rooms of the chocolate center to understand the intricate production processes.

A demonstration of chocolate tempering in its various forms will also take place, showcasing the machinery involved. Once equipped with this knowledge, it will be time to dive into hands-on activities. Let’s put on our aprons!

Guided by a skilled chef, participants will create a variety of chocolate-based dishes. This includes molding figures, decorating chocolates, preparing brownies, and coating fruits. The experience culminates with tasting the delightful creations.
