Corfu Day Trip by Boat
Description
Want to travel to Greece from Albania? On this day trip to Corfu, we'll take a ferry from Sarandë, and there, you'll have free time to explore the capital of the island and the picturesque town of Paleokastritsa.
Day Trip Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at Rruga Mitat Hoxha, number 4. Once we're all gathered, we'll board a ferry that will take us to Corfu in approximately 1 hour. All aboard!
On the island, a bus will be waiting for us to take us to the capital. During a 15-minute journey from the port to the city of Corfu, we'll tell you the most interesting facts about the island's history, centered on its many battles and conquests. An example of this is the city's two fortresses.
You'll have 3 hours of free time to explore the capital of Corfu at your own pace. We recommend strolling along its charming streets, discovering its Venetian architecture, visiting its shops, taking a dip in the crystal-clear waters of its beaches, and savoring a delicacy of Greek cuisine.
Afterward, we'll regroup again to head to the town of Paleokastritsa, just 35 minutes away by car. During the journey, we'll continue sharing interesting facts about this lovely Greek island.
In Paleokastritsa, you'll have another 3 hours of free time. This beautiful place is famous for its pebble beaches and the Monastery of Panagia, which is perched atop a hill. Founded in 1225, this monastery has a small museum of art and Byzantine clothing, as well as a chapel. Because of its location, its scenic views are some of the best in the area.
Finally, after enjoying the beauty of Paleokastritsa, we'll return to the port of Corfu by bus. From there, we'll take the ferry back to Sarandë, which will drop you off at the starting point. We'll say our goodbyes 12 to 13 hours after the day trip begins.
