Excursion to Syracuse and Ortigia Island
Your adventure begins at 6:45 am at your selected meeting point, where we will board a minibus destined for Syracuse. The journey from Sciacca will take approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Our first destination will be the Neapolis Archaeological Park, where you will enjoy 1 hour and 30 minutes of exploration time. Here, you have the option to delve into this remarkable ancient site in Syracuse.
Throughout your visit, you will unveil the city's origins and step back into the realm of classical antiquity. Expect to encounter a remarkable Greek theatre known for its vast seating capacity, a sizable Roman amphitheatre, remnants of ancient altars and temples, and caves hewn into the rock that served as prisons.
Subsequently, we will head back to our transport and make our way to Ortigia, the historical heart of Syracuse. Upon arrival, you will have 4 hours of leisure time to wander the island as you please.
As you stroll through the city that was the birthplace of the renowned mathematician Archimedes, you will discover its transformation into a significant Mediterranean hub over the past 2,700 years. This area, with its rich architectural and historical heritage, has earned the title of a World Heritage Site.
While exploring Ortigia Island, you will encounter the ruins of the Temple of Apollo dating back to the 6th century BC, the stunning Cathedral, the Fountain of Arethusa, and the striking Maniace Castle, among other notable landmarks. Don't miss the opportunity to indulge in the local culinary delights during your time on the island.
The day trip will conclude at 8 pm, returning you to your initial meeting point.

Important information
On the day of the activity, the local provider will pick you up from the meeting point you chose when making your booking. The addresses and pick up times are as follows:

- Entrance of Aeroviaggi Sciaccamare S.P.A. (Via Lido Sovareto, 92019 Sovareto AG, Italy), 15 minutes after the scheduled time.
Please be punctual.
Tickets not included
This day trip doesn't include tickets to the monuments we'll visit. If you'd like to go inside the monuments, you'll need to buy your ticket on the day. Two of the most important tourist attractions and their ticket prices are listed below:
