Upon booking, you may select from various options, each including hotel pickup and drop-off, minibus transportation, an English-speaking guide, and entry fees to the attractions. Below are the specifics of each tour type:
Half-Day Tour
We will begin your journey at your preferred time with a pickup from your hotel, taking you on a private guided excursion through Sucre, the historic capital of Bolivia.
As we navigate the streets, we will visit the House of Liberty, the site where the country's first constitution was established. Depending on the schedule, we might also explore the Treasury Museum, showcasing an impressive collection of jewels and precious stones.
Next, we will tour the Convent of St. Felipe Neri and enjoy its stunning terraces before heading to the birthplace of the city, which is La Recoleta Church.
From La Recoleta, a breathtaking panoramic view of the city center awaits you, revealing why Sucre is often called the White City. We will then proceed to the Museum of Textile Art to gain insights into the local handicrafts.
After three hours of exploration in Sucre, we will return you to your hotel and bid farewell.
Full-Day Tour
If you prefer a more immersive experience, consider our full-day option! After picking you up from your hotel, we will wander into the old town to uncover the rich history and intriguing traditions of the city.
Our tour will commence at the House of Liberty, where we will discuss a critical document in Bolivian history.
We will then proceed to the captivating Convent of St. Felipe Neri and La Recoleta Church. This church, established by the Spanish Empire in the 16th century, marked the founding of Sucre, originally named "La Plata," which was Bolivia’s first city.
From the viewpoint at the church, you can capture stunning photographs before we continue our journey. As we delve deeper into Bolivian art and culture, we'll stop at the Treasury Museum, the Colonial, Anthropological and Modern Art University Museums, or the Museum of Textile Art.
Before concluding our tour, we will take a moment in Simón Bolívar Park to appreciate its two triumphal arches and the obelisk.
After six hours of exploration, we will escort you back to your hotel.
