Join us for a captivating stargazing experience in Tarija, where we will explore the night sky in search of constellations and planets at the renowned National Astronomical Observatory of Santa Ana.

Our journey begins at 7 pm, with a convenient pick-up service from your accommodation in Tarija. We will then travel in a comfortable minibus to the esteemed National Astronomical Observatory of Santa Ana, a key astronomical hub in Bolivia.

Fun fact: this observatory is also responsible for broadcasting the official time throughout the country. Within its premises, you will discover photographic labs, workshops, and an array of telescopes. To kick off the evening, we’ll embark on a guided tour of the facility, gaining insights into the different tools utilized for observing stars, satellites, and planets, including their various roles. The staff will utilize laser pointers to highlight the locations of different celestial bodies in the night sky.

Now it's your moment to engage! You will have the opportunity to peer through the telescope and attempt to identify some of the most luminous stars such as Alpha Centauri, Sirius, and Canopus. Be on the lookout for planets including Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn!

After soaking in the awe-inspiring sights of the night sky, we will proceed to the audiovisual room to complete our adventure with an enlightening astronomy documentary.

Finally, we will return you to your hotel in Tarija, with an expected arrival time of 10 pm.
