Your adventure begins at 8 am with a pickup from your hotel in Tarija, followed by a journey to the Cordillera de Sama Biological Reserve, commonly referred to as Sama Reserve.

The itinerary starts with a westward drive towards the unique topography of the Sama mountain range, distinguished by its steep slopes, expansive plateaus, and serene lagoons. Along this route, glance at the captivating views of the central valley of Tarija and its rugged terrain.

Our first stop will be in the village of San Lorenzito, where you can stretch your legs before we continue our journey to the reserve. We will explore key highlights of the mountain range, including the La Falda Tunnel, through which we will pass to take in the breathtaking vistas of the Bolivian altiplano. We will also visit Iscayachi, a charming village home to a lovely adobe church.

As noon approaches, a picnic lunch awaits, featuring a sandwich, water, and fruit to refuel your energy.

After enjoying a panoramic walk in the Sama Reserve, we will head to the Laguna Grande of Tajzara, a picturesque area set against glimmering sand dunes. Here, you'll have an opportunity to soak in the views, observe the flamingos that grace the lake's shores, and immerse yourself in the natural surroundings.

Following this, we’ll proceed to the town of Copacabana, where a visit to an artisan weaving workshop will provide insight into local crafts before concluding our tour and returning to Tarija. We anticipate dropping you off at your hotel between 4 and 5 pm.

This tour includes pickup from hotels located in central Tarija. If your accommodation is outside this central area, please meet us at the designated point situated on Bolivar street.
