Tbilisi Bus Tour
Description
Embark on an exciting bus tour through Tbilisi, where we will explore the city's most prominent landmarks. Our journey will take us to essential sights including the Holy Trinity Cathedral, the impressive Chronicles of Georgia, and the beautiful Mtatsminda Park.
Tour Overview
We will convene at the specified meeting point on Kote Abkhazi Street, where we'll board the sightseeing bus to discover the highlights of Tbilisi.
The tour begins at the Holy Trinity Cathedral, which gracefully sits atop Elia Hill, overlooking the historic Avlabari district. This magnificent Orthodox church, constructed from 1995 to 2004, is notable for being the third highest cathedral globally.
Our next destination is the Chronicles of Georgia, an enigmatic and striking monument. Created by the renowned sculptor Zurab Tsereteli, this site features towering stone columns that soar to 30 meters (98 feet) high, depicting Georgia's rich history and the narrative of Christ’s life—a captivating fusion of artistry and historical significance.
The tour will then lead us to a scenic overlook, offering breathtaking 360-degree vistas of the cityscape—a fantastic opportunity to capture stunning photographs of Tbilisi.
Concluding our excursion, we will explore Mtatsminda Park, affectionately referred to as Georgia's Disneyland. Elevated at 770 meters (2,526 feet) above sea level, this historic park has delighted visitors for over a century and spans 100 hectares (247 acres). From this vantage point, we can enjoy a unique perspective of downtown Tbilisi.
After a 3-hour exploration, we will return to the original meeting point to conclude our tour.
