Guided Exploration of Kakheti & Wine Tasting
Your journey begins in the morning at Kote Apkhazi 44 in Tbilisi, where we'll embark eastward towards Kakheti, renowned for its sprawling vineyards.
After an hour on the road, our first destination will be a charming town where you'll engage in a baking masterclass to learn the art of making traditional Georgian bread. Naturally, tasting the freshly baked bread will be part of this delightful introduction to your tour!
Our next visit will be the Monastery of St Nino at Bodbe. This revered site, established in the 9th century, marks one of Georgia's key pilgrimage locations, housing the tomb of St Nino, known for bringing Christianity to the Georgian people in the 4th century. From here, you can also enjoy breathtaking vistas of the Alazani Valley and the Caucasus Mountains capped with snow.
Following this, we will explore the picturesque town of Signagi, which sits perched atop a hill. Widely considered one of the country’s most stunning towns, you'll have some leisure time to uncover its secrets. Wander through the cobblestone streets and soak in more captivating views of the Alazani Valley and the surrounding Caucasus peaks, or choose to visit the Pirosmanishvili Museum, devoted to the notable Georgian artist Nico Pirosmanishvili.
After our time in Signagi, we'll head to a local winery, where you’ll have the opportunity to savor seven distinct Georgian wines while gaining insight into their production methods in the Kakheti region. Additionally, you’ll be able to sample chacha, a traditional local spirit, and learn the nuances of a Georgian toast! You will then have approximately thirty minutes of free time to enjoy lunch in the area.
Concluding our adventure, we will return you to the original meeting spot in Tbilisi, with a total duration of 9 hours.

Tickets not included
This tour does not include lunch or entrance to the Pirosmanishvili Museum (7GEL). Please remember to bring cash in local currency to pay for these.

Women must cover their hair while visiting the monastery so we recommend bringing a scarf on this tour.
