Salar de Uyuni Full Day Trip
Description
Experience one of the planet's most remarkable landscapes on this incredible journey to Salar de Uyuni. You will wander through the largest salt flat on Earth, taking in the breathtaking sunset over this enchanting scenery.
Adventure to Salar de Uyuni
At the designated time, you will be collected from your accommodation in Uyuni and transported to the renowned Uyuni salt flat, a site celebrated globally for its stunning vistas. On the way, a short stop will be made at the "train cemetery," an area filled with weathered locomotives, which have stood still since the 1940s.
Your next stop will be in Colchani, situated on the border of the salt flat, where you will visit a salt processing facility to understand the properties of this mineral and the various artisanal items created from it.
As we venture into the vastness of the salt flat at midday, you will discover that it spans an area comparable to Hawaii's 'Big Island.' Remarkably, this expanse holds approximately 60% of the globe's lithium. During our exploration, you will observe the process of salt extraction, followed by a delicious traditional meal in this extraordinary natural setting.
After a revitalizing pause, we will proceed to visit Incahuasi Island, famed for its towering cacti. Here, you will have 40 minutes of leisure time to capture stunning photographs that will surely impress your friends.
To conclude this memorable journey, you will be treated to the spectacular sight of the sun setting, casting its magical glow over the salt flat. This is an unforgettable view!
Your adventure will come to a close as we make our way back to your hotels in Uyuni after approximately 9 hours of exploration.
