Description

Day 1

Upon your arrival at Uyuni Airport, we will commence our adventure to the expansive salt flat. Our first stop will be the historic Train Cemetery, home to a collection of abandoned locomotives from the 20th century.

Continuing our journey, we will visit the charming village of Colchani. There, we will explore the local market and a salt processing plant, sustainably operated by community artisans. Following this, our exploration brings us to the Uyuni salt flat, where we'll take a leisurely stroll through this extraordinary landscape, which houses around 60% of the world's lithium reserves.

Within the salt flat, we will observe the salt mounds, natural water reservoirs, and distinctive structures, including a monument dedicated to the Dakar Rally. A picnic lunch in the salt flat will offer a one-of-a-kind dining experience amidst spectacular views.

After lunch, our next destination is Incahuasi Island, renowned for its towering cacti. We’ll hike to one of its summits to relish the sweeping vistas of the salt flat, perfect for capturing memorable photographs.

As the day concludes, we will settle into our accommodations before returning to the salt flat to witness a breathtaking sunset that reflects off its surface—an experience sure to leave a lasting impression.

Day 2

Rising early with the dawn, we will enjoy a hearty breakfast before departing for Coqueza, a quaint town nestled on the slopes of the Tunupa volcano. Here, we will immerse ourselves in the stunning surroundings and explore the Andean origin of the town's name—can you guess its meaning?

At the base of the Tunupa volcano, we will board our vehicle to ascend to a vantage point offering spectacular views of the Uyuni salt flat. For the more adventurous, a hike up to the summit is also an option.

After our exploration, we will head back to the hotel, stopping intermittently to appreciate the natural beauty of this captivating region in Bolivia.

Day 3

Following a leisurely breakfast, we will prepare for our return journey. Once ready, we will climb aboard our vehicle and set forth back to our starting point.

We will conclude our memorable excursion upon arriving at the airport.

This comprehensive 3-day tour entails 2 nights of lodging in Uyuni. When making your reservation, you have the option to select from either 3-star or 4-star accommodations:
