Trip Overview

At the scheduled time, you will be collected from your hotel in Uyuni and embark on an exhilarating off-road adventure to explore some of the Altiplano's most stunning locations. Our first destination is the quaint village of San Cristóbal, a charming mining settlement rich in Bolivian cultural heritage.

While in San Cristóbal, you'll have the opportunity to observe local mining efforts and learn about the traditions that shape this community. A highlight of our visit will be the stunningly restored colonial church, a true gem within the village. Afterward, we’ll hop back into our off-roading vehicle and continue our journey through the striking landscapes of the high plateau, where we may encounter llamas and vicuñas.

Our next stop is Villa Alota, where we will enjoy a picnic lunch beside the picturesque Alota River. Rejuvenated, we will proceed to the Valley of Stones, an area renowned for its remarkable geological features, showcasing a variety of erosion-sculpted rocks. As you navigate this surreal landscape, allow your imagination to connect these formations to familiar shapes and figures.

Next, we will reach the Black Lagoon, also referred to as Laguna Catal. Here, we will disembark and delve into this enchanting section of the Bolivian Altiplano.
