The Belvedere Museum in Vienna consists of two distinct palatial structures: the Upper Belvedere and the Lower Belvedere. You have the flexibility to choose which section you wish to explore when making your reservation:

Upper Belvedere (Oberes Belvedere)

Experience the world's most comprehensive collection of Klimt’s masterpieces at the Upper Belvedere Museum. This ticket allows you to check off the famed work "The Kiss" from your must-see list!

In addition to Klimt's renowned pieces, the museum organizes an extensive array of themed paintings across three floors. Journey through art history, spanning from the Middle Ages and Baroque to Classicism, Biedermeier, and Viennese Art Nouveau.

Visiting Hours

The Upper Belvedere welcomes guests every day from 9 am to 6 pm.

Lower Belvedere (Unteres Belvedere)

Situated within the historic palace of Prince Eugene and its former stables, the Lower Belvedere Museum proudly displays a rich variety of art exhibitions.

Step into the Lower Belvedere Museum and explore the esteemed Studio Collection, which offers a wealth of medieval and Renaissance art. Since 2007, this museum has highlighted its medieval holdings in the former Palace Stables, featuring treasures that span from the early 14th century through the mid-16th century.

Visiting Hours

  • The Upper Belvedere Museum operates daily from 9 am to 6 pm. In peak seasons (July 15 to August 31; December 19 to 23; December 25 to January 3), hours extend to 9 am to 7 pm.
  • The Lower Belvedere Museum is accessible daily from 10 am to 6 pm.

Temporary Exhibitions

Visitors to the Lower Belvedere can enjoy the following temporary exhibitions:

  • February 27 to June 14, 2026: Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller – True to Nature
  • April 30 to August 16, 2026: Anni Albers – Constructing Textiles
  • July 3, 2026, to January 10, 2027: Erna Rosenstein – On the Other Side of Silence
  • September 18, 2025, to January 31, 2027: Erika Giovanna Klien

At the Upper Belvedere Museum, the following temporary exhibition will be featured:

  • May 13 to October 11, 2026: Johann Baptist Lampi – The Elder and The Younger

You'll have to present this voucher at the entrance to Lower Belvedere, located at Rennweg, 6.

The ticket to the Lower Belvedere is only valid for the time indicated.

Opening Times

  • The Upper Belvedere Museum is open daily from 9 am to 6 pm. During peak season (from July 15 to August 31; from December 19 to 23; from December 25 to January 3), open from 9 am to 7 pm.
  • The Lower Belvedere Museum is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm.
