What to Anticipate?
On the day of your adventure, we’ll gather in central Vienna, where you will board a comfortable bus. Let the exploration commence!
Dürnstein Castle
Our journey begins at the renowned medieval ruins of Dürnstein Castle. According to legend, this is where Richard the Lionheart was kept captive prior to his rescue by his devoted squire. You will enjoy one hour of leisure time to wander the grounds at your own pace!
Krems Wine Region
Next, we will visit Krems, a charming wine region located within the UNESCO-designated Wachau Valley. This area enchants with its historical allure and scenic vistas, inviting you to appreciate its cultural richness and beautiful landscapes!
Melk City
Our final destination is the quaint city of Melk, which features a stunning array of architectural styles from various eras. The highlight is undoubtedly the magnificent Baroque Benedictine monastery, known as Melk Abbey. You will have 1.5 hours of free time to explore the abbey and its surroundings at your leisure.

Important information
The tour bus will leave from 8 Operngasse, next to the fountain in front of the Vienna State Opera. Your guide will be waiting next to the bus in a yellow shirt or jacket. Please be at the meeting point at least 10 minutes in advance.
Please note
The boat trip on the Danube only runs from mid-April to the end of October. When the boat ride is not running, you'll have lunch included instead.
