Salzburg & Hallstatt Day Trip

Are you ready to uncover two of Austria’s most remarkable destinations in just one day? This excursion from Vienna takes you to Salzburg, known as the birthplace of Mozart, and to Hallstatt, a charming village situated by a beautiful lake.

Adventure Overview

We will gather at 15 Gerhard-Bronner-Straße at the designated time, where our journey through the breathtaking landscapes of Upper Austria will begin. Let’s embark!

After about 4.5 hours of travel, we will reach Salzburg, considered the gem of the Baroque era and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll have the opportunity to wander through the splendid Mirabell Gardens and cross the historic Salzach River, making your way past the famous Hotel Sacher.

Be sure to visit Mozart’s Birthplace and the grand Salzburg Cathedral. For an enriching experience, a stop at Kapitelsplatz, located by Hohensalzburg Fortress, is a must.

Once you’ve explored Salzburg and enjoyed a leisurely lunch in one of its many eateries, we’ll continue to Hallstatt, a stunning village surrounded by mountains and overlooking Lake Hallstätter See. Discover the vibrant Marktplatz and admire its notable church, plus visit the famous lookout point renowned for its breathtaking views.

You’ll then have 1 hour of free time to enjoy the quaint streets and savor the fresh alpine air before we begin our trip back to Vienna.

As we return to our starting point, we’ll conclude our day after an enriching total of 14 hours.
