This bus service operates four unique routes, each offering English commentary that enriches your journey as you pass by significant landmarks. The main stops include:
- Red Line: commencing at stop 2 (History of Art Museum), this route travels along the Ringstrasse, stopping at the State Opera, the Town Hall, the University, the Danube Pier, Heroes' Square, and St. Stephen's Cathedral.
- Blue Line: this line begins at stop 13 (Museum of Applied Arts) and ventures to further attractions including the Prater amusement park, the Danube Park, the Danube Tower, and the Kunsthaus museum.
- Yellow Line: starting at stop 1 (State Opera), it takes you to the opulent Schönbrunn and Belvedere palaces.
- Green Line (operational until November 2, 2025): this route starts at stop 47 (Votiva Church) and leads to the charming wine village of Grinzing and the scenic Kahlenberg hill.

Operational Details
Your ticket for the Vienna Sightseeing bus remains valid for 24, 48, or 72 hours starting from the initial boarding time. For instance, if activated on Monday at 3 pm, it will be valid until Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday at 3 pm (based on the ticket duration selected). During this period, you are free to board and alight as frequently as you wish.
While you’ll need to provide a start date when booking, you can utilize the ticket for a full year from the designated date.
A voucher will be sent via email upon reservation, which must be presented at the first bus you board.
Timetable & Frequency
The sightseeing buses in Vienna run daily from 9:20 am to 7:35 pm, with slight variations in timing depending on the line and the day. Buses typically arrive every 10 to 20 minutes.
