Immerse yourself in the captivating rainforests of central Peru through a journey in the Perené Valley. This one-day excursion offers the chance to witness stunning waterfalls, conservation areas for endangered species, and traditional villages.

Our adventure begins at 8 am, where we'll gather on Leopoldo Krausse Avenue in Villa Rica to embark on our exploration of the Perené Valley.

As we travel, we'll navigate through the heart of the jungle, passing by the Cerro de Sal mine, a significant location where Indigenous communities historically sourced salt. A brief stop at the Tinkuy Viewpoint will allow us to gaze upon the confluence of the Chanchamayo and Paucartambo Rivers, marking the origin of the Perené River.

Continuing our journey, we will visit the Machetero Kingdom, a dedicated sanctuary for the protection of the giant rodent. Following this insightful stop, we will proceed to an Asháninka community, where we will have the opportunity to learn about their rich culture and traditions.

After gaining insight into the lifestyle of the Asháninka people, we will venture deeper into the jungle to explore the breathtaking Bride's Veil and Bayoz Waterfalls, two of the Perené Valley's foremost natural highlights. Here, we can appreciate the pristine surroundings and enjoy a boat ride on the Perené River, offering picturesque views of the riverside landscape.

Our final destination will be the Zhaveta Yard, commonly referred to as the Butterfly Garden. In this natural sanctuary, we will delight in observing a variety of insect species and mammals, including monkeys, turtles, paiches, and macaws.

After a fulfilling 10 hours of exploration throughout the Perené Valley, we will conclude our journey with a return to Villa Rica, dropping you off at our initial meeting point.
