Description
Your adventure will commence with a pickup at your Villa Union hotel at an agreed time. We will journey in a 4x4 vehicle towards the Quebrada del Yeso, recognized for its rugged landscapes in La Rioja.
This off-road experience will guide us along the same routes that once hosted various stages of the Dakar Rally, which traversed the demanding terrains of southern Argentina. The challenging sections of the race spanned significant areas of the La Rioja province, providing a rigorous test for elite rally drivers from around the globe.
During our excursion through Quebrada del Yeso, we will cross the Bermejo River and delve into the picturesque foothills of La Rioja. The journey will feature several stops so you can appreciate the breathtaking vistas and enjoy the lunch you've prepared.
As we navigate these expansive landscapes, gaze upon the unique reddish hills that characterize this region of Argentina, aptly named La Rioja. Our route will also include a semi-desert stretch measuring 12 kilometers (7.5 miles), which leads us through the Sierra de los Colorados, showcasing a vast dry riverbed.
Ultimately, after following the rally’s historic course through the Quebrada del Yeso, we'll return to Villa Union, completing our journey roughly 11 hours after our initial departure.

At the designated time, we'll pick you up at the hotel in Villa Union that you indicated during the booking process. Please be ready a few minutes beforehand.
Remember that the excursion does not include lunch. We recommend having a big breakfast and bringing fruit, water, and a light snack for the day, since eating a big meal at such a high altitude isn't recommended.
