Materuni Waterfalls Excursion

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your accommodation in Arusha at 8 am, followed by a journey in a 4x4 vehicle to the charming village of Materuni, the starting point of our trek to Materuni Waterfalls.

As we traverse lush pathways, you'll receive insights about the unique flora and fauna inhabiting the lower slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. Our hike, lasting about an hour, will also offer glimpses of the homes of the Chagga people, who are native to this region.

Upon reaching the Materuni Waterfalls, you will be captivated by the stunning sight of this magnificent waterfall, fed by the melting snow from Mount Kilimanjaro. Here, you will have the opportunity to enjoy some leisure time, marveling at the falls and perhaps dipping into its refreshing pools.

After a revitalizing picnic lunch, our exploration will resume. In this second segment of the trip, we'll explore a local coffee plantation, discovering the intricacies of coffee production. You'll witness the roasting process and, of course, savor a cup of freshly brewed local coffee.

Finally, we will return to the 4x4 for the journey back to your hotel in Arusha, arriving around 5 pm.
