Join us on this excursion from Istanbul to the ancient city of Troy, where history intertwines with legends. Prepare to delve into the essence of this remarkable destination!

Description

We will commence our adventure at the scheduled time, picking you up from your accommodation in Istanbul. Our journey will lead us westward to the mythical city of Troy, a cornerstone of Greek mythology.

Our first stop will be at Eceabat, beautifully situated by the Dardanelles. During the trip, we will take a moment to rest, and once we arrive in the town, you will have leisure time to enjoy breakfast at a local café.

Next, we will board a 25-minute ferry to Çanakkale. Upon disembarking, we'll hop back into our minibus and continue towards our final destination—one of the most renowned ancient cities. Let’s embark on our Troy Tour!

Once we arrive, we will navigate the archaeological site of Troy, a prime opportunity to uncover its legendary tales. As we walk through the remains first uncovered in 1871 by Heinrich Schliemann, you will see the defensive walls, altars, the remnants of structures, and, notably, a version of the iconic Trojan Horse.

What elements of truth lie within the Trojan War? What mysteries does the Iliad by Homer reveal? We will transport ourselves back in time 3000 years to explore the daily lives of Troy's ancient inhabitants.

After this enriching historical exploration, we will return to Çanakkale for a ferry ride back to Eceabat. Here, lunch will be provided at a local eatery. Finally, we will make our way back to Istanbul, arriving approximately 18 hours after our departure.

Included in the day trip is a convenient hotel pickup and drop-off service for accommodations located in the Taksim and Sultanahmet regions. Please ensure you are ready for pickup between 6:00 and 6:20 am in Taksim, and from 6:30 to 7:00 am in Sultanahmet.

If your hotel is situated outside these areas, we will reach out to arrange an alternative meeting point that is convenient for you.
