Exploration of West Terceira + Cheese Sampling

At the designated time, we will meet you at your chosen pickup location in Angra do Heroísmo, the island's capital. Nearby, you’ll encounter the iconic Monte Brasil. Are you curious about the origin of its name? This will be revealed during our journey!

Our adventure begins with a 40-minute walking tour across the Monte Brasil peninsula. This hill, positioned in southern Terceira and formed by an extinct tuff volcano, features two remarkable viewpoints: one overlooking the crater and another from the Cruzinhas vantage point.

Following our time at Monte Brasil, we will continue our exploration of Terceira. As we travel, there will be brief stops for photographs in charming villages such as São Mateus da Calheta. Our next destination will be a local farm situated in the island’s interior, where you'll enjoy a sampling of Azorean cheeses, including the famous Queijo Vaquinha. This tasting will showcase a delightful array of the archipelago's distinguished dairy products, which are highly sought after in Portugal.

Afterward, we'll visit the renowned natural pools of Biscoitos, where a half-hour walking tour will allow us to discover the fascinating formation of these lagoons. A hint: most natural sites in the Azores owe their creation to volcanic activity.

To conclude our tour, we will return you to your hotel, with an expected arrival time between 3 to 4 hours after your initial pickup.
