Night Hike Overview

Beginning with a timely pickup from your accommodation in Bariloche, we will depart the city, traversing a steep road that leads into the expansive forest typical of the Argentinean Patagonia. Let’s embark!

After a scenic drive of 12.42 miles (20 kilometers), we will arrive at the entrance of the Chalhuaco Valley trail, a natural site that exudes tranquility at night.

Equipped with flashlights, we will set off on our hike through the lenga beech forest. The moment we start, the beams from our flashlights will dance upon the tree trunks and roots, crafting a mesmerizing atmosphere.

Over the next 30 minutes, we will proceed at a leisurely pace, allowing ourselves to absorb the nighttime sounds of the forest. With a stroke of luck, we may even hear the calls of nocturnal birds. During our trek, we’ll share insights into the diverse flora and fauna inhabiting the Chalhuaco region, as the sense of seclusion allows for a deeper connection with nature.

Upon completing our hike, we will return to our starting point, where a hearty dinner at a mountain lodge awaits. Our meal will begin with a comforting pumpkin soup to warm you up. You will have the option of selecting between two traditional Patagonian dishes: a Creole-style steak accompanied by potatoes and vegetables or a lentil stew. To finish the meal, a delightful tiramisu will be served for dessert.

After a fulfilling 5-hour experience, we will conclude the evening by returning you to your hotel for farewells.
